The quality and superior performance of our products is the result of extensive research and testing into the manufacture, use and abuse that inflatable boats endure, regardless of the material they are made of.

First: Washing an inflatable boat with soap is not a good idea. Soap and detergents leave behind a residue (soap scum) that is food for mold and mold can cause permanent cosmetic and structural damage to the fabric. Soap scum is the reason for mold in showers. That’s why we invented Inflatable Boat Cleaner. It’s Free Rinsing and does not leave behind residue to attract and feed mold. Speed Clean can remove and even kill mold from the surface, but once it penetrates into the fabric, there is nothing you can do except replace the tube.

We recommend cleaning the boat with Speed Clean annually to get the surface pristine before applying Poly Guard. As you know, Poly Guard is proven to provide superior protection against UV, scuffing, chalking, suntan lotion and many spills and pollutants that can stain the fabric.

Next: Many boats must live in the water as the owner may not have any other way to store the boat. Aurror Repelin , below the waterline, waterproofs the surfaces and reduces the attachment of marine fouling. If the boat owner simply wipes the slime off, as it appears, from time to time the bottom will stay clean all season long. When applied to fiberglass hulls, it will also seal the pores in the gelcoat to prevent osmosis blistering. And, of course, Repelin improves the performance and fuel economy of inflatable boats. Our test boat got a 10% increase in speed and was able to stay on plane, even though it was underpowered, whereas before Repelin, it could not stay on plane. (Repelin sells separated)

And, for boats that do get fouled, we invented Foul Off. A really tough fouling remover that won’t damage the tube or hull of RIBs.

Inflatable boats are an incredible invention, but they need special care due to the materials that they are made of. That’s why we have so many specialty products. It’s not as simple as washing with soap and water, unless you want to replace your boat every few years. I know that boat manufactures love the idea of replacing their product every few years, but consumers don’t. As we know, boat owners talk to each other and if a boat does not last, it soon gets a bad reputation and no one will buy them and the manufacture will go out of business. That’s why Good Boat Maintenance is an important part of a Good Quality Boat.
